Macedonia is among the countries that are low in debt, shows the global watch of the prestigious "The Economist" that every second measures the amount of public debt of any country in the world individually. According to them, the country is the only in the region that is in this group.
The Ministry of
Finance released data on public debt in the third quarter of this year according to which the total debt amounted to 50.6 percent of domestic GDP. In the same period, government debt was 41.9 percent.
The Ministry of Finance said that the increase in state and public debt, compared with the second quarter, is due the Eurobond borrowing.
From the Ministry is said that this money will cover budget needs for the repayment of old commitments this year and next year. In November will be paid EUR 130 million loan.
